Join a group of like-minded potter enthusiasts and build on your skills under the guidance of your experienced tutor - Dani Komorek.

Explore advanced shapes and forms including lidded vessels, bottles and vases and discuss the best techniques & skills to apply to your design. We will focus on a variety of decorating techniques such as applying slip in a creative way, using underglazes and experimenting with wax resist.

This intermediate class is for students who have completed one or more 6 week wheel throwing courses at Es Ceramics. Above is an outline of what to expect, however we look forward to seeing what tools, clay, glazes and ideas you bring to class!

The cost of this course includes clay, use of wheel and tools, firing, and materials for decorating and glazing 6 standard pieces.

The intermediate class will have the opportunity to fire additional pieces made in class at the following rate:

$8 per kg bisque
$10 per kg glaze
materials fee (clay & glaze)
